Aspiring players must contact Coach Gadson at (703) 725-4878 to schedule a workout for team consideration.

TRYOUT PROCESS

Prospect Tryout sessions is a (3) three-day event that all players will participate in drills and simulated team scrimmages as coaches evaluate each players ability to play at the expected level for Virginia Elite teams.

Open Registration all prospective players must complete the registration form before attending any Open Gym or Tryout session. Prospective players who complete the registration will receive communications as to Virginia Elite Girls activities.

During tryouts, players will be selected by the team coach with input from the other Virginia Elite coaches. Final roster approval is done by Coach Gadson.
It is important to attend each tryout session, those who miss limit their chance to be selected for participation on the team.

HOW AND WHEN ARE PLAYERS NOTIFIED OF TEAM SELECTIONS ?

IMMEDIATELY during and after each tryout session. Players selected to a team will receive and invitation to attend the invitation only tryout session. Team selections begin after the last OPEN tryout.
To ensure we have all communications methods, each player is required to complete the registration.
Once all team selections are completed a email letter will be sent to notifying players that they have been selected for a team roster spot.

Selecting players who will comprise our roster is a crucial aspect of our program's success. As such, we strongly encourage all interested players to attend prospect and tryout sessions.

The final tryouts will culminate in the announcement of the roster, as well as a discussion about expectations, tournament schedule, and operational requirements. We take this process seriously and strive to build a strong and competitive team that will make us proud.

COMMITMENT

Coach Gadson will meet with each parents to clarify the commitment and expectations for players who are offered a roster position. This discussion will be beneficial in ensuring that everyone is on the same page regarding the requirements and responsibilities that come with being part of Virginia Elite.

There is a lot of effort to showcase and provide elite level national basketball exposure, so the overall commitment is paramount.
