teams and players must be registered and have all league
fees paid in order to participate in the league.

league information will be posted on the Virginia Elite
website (www.vaelitehoops.com) under Future Stars link.

All
players MUST be registered with the Future Stars League to participate.

4. To
protest
a player participation the applicant must do so to the commissioner of the
league (No protest will be heard before a game.)

PLAYER
EQUIPMENT
1.
Game
balls will be provided by Virginia Elite Hoops. An intermediate size
ball (29.5” circumference) will be provided.
2.
Team
Uniforms: Players must wear team uniforms with number for each
game.
3.
Game
Shorts:
We require that players wear shorts. Shorts with pockets,
rivets, or belt loops are NOT allowed for safety purposes.
Shorts must be worn properly.
4.
Players
are required to wear athletic shoes (non – marking soles)
for all games.
5.
Players
may not wear anything that may be hazardous to themselves or
the other players on the court. Necklaces, earrings, rings,
and watches are not allowed. This includes stud earrings. All
jewelry must be removed prior to game.
1.
To
expiate the game starting and to give teams an opportunity to
warm-up, the score books will be filled out based on roster
submission. If a team adds a player then it’s the coach’s
responsibility to inform the scorekeeper at the table of the new
player.
2.
Game Time: Two (2) 20 minute halves with running clock
until the last 2 minutes. Stop Clock after two (2) minutes.
3.
1st Overtime: 3 Minutes, 1 additional FULL timeout per
team
4.
2nd Overtime: 2 Minutes, No Additional timeouts added
5.
3rd Overtime: 1 Minute, No Additional timeouts added
6.
Halftime: 3 Minutes
7.
Team Timeouts: 3 full timeouts and 3 thirty second
timeouts per game.
8.
Clock and Book Keeper: Each team is responsible for
providing a Clock (Home Team) and Bookkeeper (Away
Team) for the game.
9.
Player Fouls: Players are allowed 5 personal fouls
10.
Team Fouls: When a team reaches 7 fouls the team shots 1 and 1
at 10 team fouls the team shots 2 shots (Double Bonus)
11.
If a player intentionally fouls or harms a player, he may be
removed from the game permanently.
12.
Coaches
will be assessed a technical foul for unsportsmanlike conduct.
The referee has the authority to eject a coach from a game at
any time. If a coach is ejected, he/she must leave the gym
completely. Two technical fouls result in an automatic
ejection.
13.
Fan
Conduct: All coaches, parents and spectators shall remain
outside of the basketball court. Only positive comments are
appropriate in a youth sport setting. Referees are in charge
of the game.
14.
Parents
and spectators may be given one warning and/or can be ejected
from the game for negative comments, arguing with or harassing
the referees, or coaching their kids or other players from the
sidelines. Parents’ direction from the sidelines confuses
the players and undermines the coaches.
