Sharp shooting Jake Randolph
from the Winchester Eagles made an impression with VA Elite
Hoops in earlier tournament where we noticed
his abilities to
really shot the ball. Jake not only made an impression on the
court but off the court as well, Brandon Chauca a lefty point
guard who caught our attention with his court vision and
confidence on the court, Aaron Alexander (left) who we have seen
play throughout the year really displayed his abilities to
compete against the next level of competition and then there
were the ballers from Team Takeover; Will Ferguson, Carlton
Carter, Jr., and Nigel Johnson and Emonte Rogers.
This was the first time seeing Carlton and Emonte and I must say
VA Elite Hoops was very very impressed with their skills and
desire to play the game and we look forward to seeing more of
these players throughout the summer. Then there is Will Ferguson
and Nigel Johnson two kids that we have seen grow up on the
courts of Northern Virginia. We strongly believe that we are
witnessing the next evolution of quality players coming from
Northern Virginia. Will Ferguson is a craft guard who is really
picking up the game to take his skills and abilities to the next
level and then there is Nigel Johnson. Nigel has always been a
player that we have kept our eye on, a solid point guard and
game prepared skills is what he brings to the court and with the
combination of Carlton, Will and Nigel Team Takeover has
something special and we will be there we them throughout the
summer.
VA Elite Hoops congratulates Team Takeover 14U team for
capturing the 2nd Annual Love & Basketball tournament
championship. We expect each of the players mentioned as well as
other that we will cover through the summer AAU tournament
circuit, camps and games will how again the quality of
basketball that is played from the courts of Northern Virginia.
