Considered as one of the top point guards in the class of 2013, Will Ferguson is now stepping out of the shadows of AAU basketball into the melting pot of high school hoops. As the point guard position requires more diversity than other positions, the upside for this young guard will depended on his ability to compete against players that are three and/or four years ahead of him in experience.

Athleticism: Good athlete still developing.

Outside Shooting: Good shooter playing in the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC) will test his ability to create his shoot against veteran players.

Mid-Range: Good mid-range shooter, Will has the ability to get into the interior of the defense and get his shoot off.  Creating his mid-range will be an area that he will see a lot of traffic. His natural abilities and instinct to play will key in this area.

Shot Creation: This is an area that he can excel. Using his pure basketball abilities will enable him to create his own shots.

Defense: Good defender. Defiantly not a weakness!

Basketball IQ: Good basketball IQ will develop more with time.

Fundamentals: Will has improved in this area, playing against and with high caliber players over the summer has resulted in the elevation of his skills.

Potential: Will Ferguson is one of the best players coming out of Northern Virginia, playing in the WCAC, playing along side Kendall Marshall (2010, North Carolina commit) will be a solid benefit that most young players don't get. Will's potential to excel is great, a great kids added with the drive to be good is always a recipe for success.
