The 6-10 Manning has a tremendous upside as a post player. As he continues to develop the physical and mental part of the game John will become more of a force inside the paint. His ability to face the basket has made him more of a threat for opposing players.

His offense is slightly ahead of his defensive but he does display the ability to alter and block shots. John is a quality young man that will surely make a college program an excellent college prospect.

Athleticism: Good athlete  physically, runs the floor to convert stick backs or finish his own easy lay-up running to the rim.

Shooting: Can improve on mid-range shooting. John does a good job facing up at the free throw line.

Positioning: He runs the floor well for a big man and does a good job getting easy baskets in transition.

Hands and Feet: He has good hands and understands the post position.

Defense: John does a solid job in challenging shots and establishes good positioning in the low post.

Basketball IQ: John understands his position on the floor and as he develops each year his abilities will become more noticeable just like his size.

Fundamentals: Manning has improved on his post skills and works hard at his game. Offensively he has good hands and footwork. He does a good job in sealing the the low blocks.

Potential: There are two positions on the floor that require more than size point guard and center. As we have seen at every level those positions are the most under rated and sometime most understood. John is a true center and that's it! His ability to dominate the paint will be a true test of his abilities. Projected Level: D-I
