Day
Three of
McDonald's All American Game Week was just a light day to wrap up the week's
events before
the players take to the national stage Wednesday
night for the two All American Games.
The
third and final practice of the week kicked off
the day at 9am, with more drills and play
scenarios taking place to tighten up each unit
and go over any last minute adjustments that
needed to be made. Once again Larry Bird made an
appearance on the sidelines to view and analyze
the abilities of the nation's top talent.
Taking
advantage of the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,
DC local Ronika Ransford approached Mr. Bird for
a brief conversation about the game and the
week's events, informing the living legend that
he should root for the Girls' East team, because
they would be walking away with the victory. He
laughed and agreed to throw his support behind
Ransford and her teammates.
After
practice the players were bussed back to the
Ronald McDonald House for a final appearance
with some kids and their families, and were made
available to the media for interviews and photo
opportunities. VAelitehoops's own Sean Frye sat
down with UNC commits Reggie Bullock, Kendall
Marshall and Harrison Barnes, and was also able
to get the four players representing the DC,
Virginia, and Baltimore area together for an
interview of their own, both of which can be
seen right here on www.vaelitehoops.com.
The
fourth and final day of the week will feature
the Girls' and Boys' games, with tip offs
scheduled for 5:30pm and 8:00pm respectfully.
We'll have all the day's videos, photos and a
full recap right here on www.vaelitehoops.com!
